For
safety reasons, wheelchairs, baby joggers, strollers, burleys
and pets will not be permitted on the race course.
Due
to time restraints, we regret we are no longer to accommodate
walkers in our event.
Please
note: There is no parking on the south side of the bridge. Leave
your cars at your hotels, and either walk or take the Banff "Roam
Bus". It is a busy weekend so be sure to make
your hotel bookings soon.
START: 10:30 A.M. SHARP at the BANFF RECREATION
GROUNDS
Runners
will start massing on Sundance Road at 10:10 a.m. This is a self-seeded
start. Markers will be on the side of the road. Please seed yourself
accordingly. An RCMP car and a biker will lead the course. A biker
will follow the last runner.
THE
COURSE
The
10 km route has been revised due to Parks Canada request due to
construction at the Cave & Basin. Route details are as follows:
Start
on Sundance Road (self-seeded start)
Immediate left onto Cave Avenue
Left onto Banff Avenue (cross over the bridge)
Right onto Wolf Street

Left
onto Otter Street
Right onto Tunnel Mountain Drive
(by Buffalo Mountain Lodge & Douglas Fir Resort)
Follow
Tunnel Mountain Drive around onto Buffalo Street
Left
onto the footpath at Muskrat Street
Follow the foot path, under the bridge around to the canoe docks,
Loop right onto Bow Avenue
Proceed along Bow Avenue
Left
at Buffalo Street
Right at Banff Avenue and move onto the sidewalk as you cross
the bridge
Right at Cave Avenue

Right
at Sundance Road (the road the race started on)
Right
onto the track
Proceed to the finish line.

WATER
STATIONS
We
have added 2 extra water stations to the 10K route, which gives
you 6 water stations in all, including the finish line. There
will also be port a-potties at the 2.7K water station and the
6.9K water station.
